About KT Dance
Our Approach
I first decided to open KT Dance Academy as I saw a gap in the market for high quality dance classes in the Huddersfield area. We now run a two studio purpose built dance studio with car park and waiting area in the centre of Lindley, Huddersfield.
After dancing since the age of 3 myself, I want to pass my love for dance and theatre on to the next generation. I really enjoy teaching and working with children to help them develop and grow. My passion for dance was apparent from an early age so I would like to share my enthusiasm to inspire young dancers and performers.
Our motto is “dance for all” as we believe whatever your circumstance we will be able to provide the perfect class for you.
Our Shows
We like to showcase the talent of our children and what they can achieve through coming to our dance classes. KT Dance Academy puts on an enchanting and fun annual show, which is a great opportunity for parents to see the fantastic progress their child has made. Shows are a chance for children to try something new and develop particular performance skills and confidence.
Our next show is on Sunday 26th of November 2017 at Colne Valley High School.
Our Staff
Miss Harriet – Miss Harriet has been dancing since the age of 8 in a dance school in Halifax and prior to that was a gymnast. Since the age of 14 she knew being a dance teacher was her goal so she began working on her IDTA dance teaching qualifications. After working on IDTA qualifications she also began a two year course to become a qualified RAD teacher and in June 2018 year she graduated in London alongside Darcey Bussell.
Since being little she has competed in many competitions, championships and scholarships. She has also taken most of the IDTA exams in ballet, modern, tap and theatre craft. Her proudest moment in her dance career was winning Miss Dance Of Great Britain 2016 at the age of 18. She is now ready to pass on her feeling of success, pleasure and most of all fun to the children of KT Dance Academy! Who’s ready to work hard?
